I started thinking about the comedic value of C-3PO floating around in a chair in the Ewok village. Then I thought, “what if his chair permanently floated?” and “what if he lived in suburbia and sat in his living room watching TV?” Maybe Artoo could be standing in the corner rolling his eyes or something. Well, as it turns out, Threepio can’t really express emotions, and Artoo can’t roll his eyes. So despite this sketch, nothing came of it.
Nooch Dirk asked me to draw a Gamorrean. I feel like this looks like a weird cross between Yoda and an orc. More practice needed.
I had an idea for a Dangit when Han wants to show off his hyperdrive and it fails. This is the sketch; maybe I’ll draw the full comic someday.
Nooch Dirk asked for a Kylo Ren drawing for a podcast he was doing. I obliged, although frankly he ended up being kind of boring. The guy wears nothing but black.
After my first Mace Windu sketch, I decided to add another scene with him.
This is my first comic with text. I feel like Mace should’ve seen what was coming after he struck down Palpatine.
It started with a thought: “I wonder if I can draw Han Solo in carbonite?” Then I had to add Leia in her bikini, which looks absolutely atrocious. And then of course I needed Jabba. This is surely a contender for the Worst Drawing of Jabba of All Time.
I wanted to draw Jar-Jar, and he turned out so awful that I felt like Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan had to show up and threaten him.
After my first character sketch, I tossed another one to Nooch Dirk. This continued to prove that drawing Darth Vader is beyond my skill.
